Japan: Waterborne feeding system contract with Proximar

Fluctus has signed a contract with Proximar for the supply of water feeding systems to their land-based facility in Japan.

Proximar has a strong focus on sustainability, and the use of water to transport the feed reduces both the energy requirement and the emission of microplastics from the feed hoses. In addition, water feeding provides a noise reduction – and less feed crush and dust are also expected.

COO of Proximar, Dharma Rajeswaran, explains why they chose Fluctus as their supplier: – Fluctus’ water-based feed solution is well suited for RAS, especially to avoid dust and crush which is typically an extra burden for the water treatment in the facility. In addition comes the financial savings.

Sales Manager at Fluctus, Knut Bjarte Otterlei, is looking forward to the delivery:
– We look forward to contributing towards this exciting project and to delivering a feeding solution that provides efficient feeding in a sustainable way.

Otterlei generally experiences great interest in Fluctus’ water feeding solution:
-Fluctus has focused on making the system as simple and user-friendly as possible, both with a special water lock and an associated distribution valve. We are experiencing great interest in our solution, both in Norway and abroad.
